Our Achievements

Our links with partners in developing new and exciting learning opportunities for the federation students are typified by the work on early transition from KS2 to KS3 under the "Leading Edge Partnership".

In early 2008 Abbey Hill achieved Higher Performing Specialist School status and with it gained a new specialism, Applied Learning (vocational), to go with its status as a Technology College and lead school in a Leading Edge Partnership

Both schools are now registered with the Specialist Schools and Acadamies Trust and enjoy strong links and membership of the Confederation of All through Schools (CATS)

Increased leadership capacity and challenge through a process involving a Federation Executive Leadership Team (FELT) is providing joint strategic leadership

Economies of scale are now allowing us to better achieve best value purchases, leases and service level agreements and we now have shared administration and technical services that operate under the supervision of the Federation Business Manager

We have won bids for monies to support new buildings that extend student provision.

We have established 'new governance' by developing the concept of lead governors for both the Finance & Staffing and Buildings responsibilities.
